lol... 8 pages of google links to the deal and no real reviews... 6 rails... hmmm... 1 yr warranty, no 80+ no active pfc...

i'd even be scared of this thing...

but if i had a side window case and wanted a sticker to say 1KW i might go for it... would certainly be interesting to have it plugged into a load tester and see what it really can put out... i have to bet it's not a 24/7 1kw unit...

200 watts -- i7 920 at 4 ghz+
4 hard drives, optical - 40 watts
3 4890 or 2 Fermi - 600 watts
Sound, USB, tv tuner, lots o ram, chipset - 40 watts
water pump or lots of fans - 10-20 watts.

There you go. After temeprature de-rating and capacitor aging easily killowatt rated PSU required for an enthusiast PC. Not that I'd try to run over a thousand dollars worth of computer hardware at 90% rated wattage off a PSU like that.

It does have Active PFC, but that doesn't really make it sound any better. :\
