Episode Two Info

We wanted Episode One to take players between 4 to 6 hours to play, and our playtests are hitting very close to that mark. But delivering a story in smaller pieces means that we don't have the luxury of delivering a complete narrative story arc from start to finish, which means we have to be considerate to our audience in terms of giving them what they want. Episode One will not end with an all-encompassing conclusion, given that it is the first installment in a series, but there are some specific questions it will address. For example, "What happened to the Citadel at the end of Half-Life 2?" and "What happened to Breen, is he dead?" and "How does the G-Man factor into all of this?"

4 to 6 hours 😛
:Q

how much and will it also be available as 'boxed'? . . . i know i wouldn't want to pay even $20 for that little expansion 'chapter'.

4 ro 6 hours

how much?

I've heard it's going to be $20, which is resonable... for a normal expansion pack. Not for 4-6 hours of gameplay. I can't imagine many people buying it for $20, so I suspect it'll be less than that, but who knows?

reply to your edit: I'm pretty sure it won't be available boxed and will only be available for purchase over Steam.

You need Steam even if you buy HL2 boxed, so it doesn't really matter unless you're still dialup. If $20 will cover all the episodes because they're too lazy to complete them and release them all together, otherwise $20 for an extra 4-6 hours of game play...I'll pass. Valve sure as hell takes their sweet time to release things.

i'm on dialup, won't pay $20 AND take a week. 😛

probably - if they have sense - they will probably release the HL2 Deluxe Boxed "Irridium Collector's Edition" when they are done with it all. 😛

and when it is bargain bin, i will buy it. 😛

i can outwait them 😉

😀

[heck, i waited for KotOR II to become bargain bin . . . and it's actually almost patched enough] 😛
