Epiphone Les Paul Ultra

I was getting ready to buy a new bass guitar when I saw this. It's tough to pass up an LP this nice though. I see I have a tough decision to make.

I have a Squire LP clone like this. I threw in Duncan Jazz/JB pups. I might just get the ultra and throw those in and chuck the Squire. I'm really impressed with Epiphone's quality as far as body and parts goes these days. The LP clones used to be pretty horrible, but now with Grover tuners and decent electronics, the brand is awesome.

Looks like Epiphone are starting to use Gibson (designed) pickups now in their new models. I have the '56 Goldtop and the P90s in it are Gibson too and pretty high quality.

Yes, they are....The lower model ones actually have replicas of the gibson pickups, but the pickups for eipiphone are made in China as opposed to the USA made pick ups on a Gibson.

While I love the Elitist you linked to above, I unfortunately only had about $500 in my budget. I haven't decided yet though between the LP Ultra, or a new bass.
