It just struck me, most things that I remember or recall put most of the emphasis on images and facts rather than the sounds that accompany them. It never occurred to me that my memory could be skewed toward images so drastically.

Hey don't discount smell, smells can evoke power memories and emotions. As to your original questions, what about music? Do certain songs remind you of some memory or experience that either the song references or had happened while that song was playing?

Sometimes, but usually my memories place an emphasis on what I was thinking at the time of the memory.

A smell can bring back so many memories for me... but, when im thinking about the memories, i wouldnt neccessarily remember the smell associated with a memory

Same with sound, sounds can bring back memories, but I cant say many of my meories involve sound

My dad died when I was 20, I'm 28 now, but for the longest time I could always hear his voice calling my name, when he used to when I'd be out playing with the other kids in my neighborhood as a youngster. I don't remember it as clearly anymore though.
