EPA Requests 230,000 New Bureaucrats To Regulate "Greenhouse Gases"

The EPA aims to regulate greenhouse gas emissions through the Clean Air Act, even though the law doesn’t give the EPA explicit power to do so. The agency’s authority to move forward is being challenged in court by petitioners who argue that such a decision should be left for Congress to make.

The proposed regulations would set greenhouse gas emission thresholds above which businesses must file for an EPA permit and complete extra paperwork in order to continue operating. If the EPA wins its court battle and fully rolls out the greenhouse gas regulations, the number of businesses forced into this regulatory regime would grow tremendously — from approximately 14,000 now to as many as 6.1 million.

oh fucking lord... 230,000 government employees? even at the 50k salary cap I believe all government(fed) should be capped at that still comes out to 11,500,000,000 each year to pay them and that's not including benefits, pensions, operating costs. Do we really need this tax burden when we're already killing our industry with over regulation?

In case they haven't noticed the government currently spends fuckloads more money than it takes in. No new positions or spending should be allowed unless it can be proven to be absolutely needed.

If this is true some on this msgboard have said this is a good thing for the economy. It creates jobs pushing paper. The end result of our big govt policy. Dont create anything, just push paper and keep the peons busy.
 
These are the "green jobs" we were promised by the Dipshit in Cheif. They could even be considered "shovel ready" since all they are going to be doing in shoveling bullshit to the general public and telling us to buy CFL bulbs to fix the ozone layer. Quick, buy a POS GM electric car because its so much more environmentally friendly. Pahleease!
 
The EPA currently employs approximately 17,000 people, but you guys think that the government is going to hire 13 times as many people as the EPA has total employees currently to administer one rule. It is exceedingly unlikely that is 1.) what is actually being said, and 2.) would ever happen even if it were.

Use your heads people, seriously.

If you are concerned about overspending, let's all agree to cut the military budget by 75%. We spend 40% of the entire world's military, while having 1/12 of the population, surrounded by oceans on 2 sides, 1 peaceful neighbor to the north, and one weak neighbor to the south.

I have a good friend who worked in Beijing for a year. They would have what were basically spitoons in the corners of their offices where people would regularly go hack up black shit and spit it into them because of how polluted their air was.

One of the worst greenhouse gases is r134a, yet to date the EPA refuses to ban the over the counter sales of it to anyone, even though it requires everyone who works with it professionally to have EPA approved recovery/recycling equipment,

but they ban Inhalers.😵
 
EPA and DOE were available during Republican govt right? why didnt they get rid of them then? if they are so against it.
