EP-8KHAL Irq Problem??

Hi, i just got this board yesterday, i've installed everything, but everything wants use irq#11 for some reason (video,sound,modem,capture,usp). I tried swaping cards from slot to slot but that didn't help, and in the bios i just can't figure out the PCI irq assignment chart, so i just have it at AUTO but thats not helping either. In windows 98 its assining same irq as bios, currently i only have video/modem both using irq#11, i'm afraid to install the others bcuz i know its going share the same 11 again....Please Help

Oh, is the bios the same as 8kha+???
 
you mentioned win98, but im not sure i understand....

are you using win98? or are you trying to use a win2k, winxp?


in win2k its normal for everything to share 1 irq



another thing most modern hardware is capable of sharing irqs (so its normal for irq sharing, my scsi card and sound card are both using irq 10)
 
yes, i'm using win98, i will install winxp (dualboot) as soon as i solve this problem. You know how it shows the irq chart when u first boot/restart- well on that little chart all i see is irq#11 on all device accept 9 for acpi, 14 for ide...
