Environmental Values In Win 98?

I need to set an environmental variable in windows 98SE. I know where to do it in Win 2K, but dont see
it in 98SE. I tried the "Set" command in DOS, but it doesn't "stick". (Doesn't show in SiSoft S)
Don't I need quotation marks for variable:
"Variable"= Path

I have something in Autoexec.bat but it doesn't show in Sisoft Env. Var. module, so thats not the right
way to go, right?

A link or info would be nice.

try sysedit, i think you set the path in one of those files, sys.ini, win.ini, something like that.
