I've got one guy at work that constantly decides that the body section of the email is worthless, and thus just posts what he wants to say in the subject. Usually it's only a few words, but it's kinda irritating opening an email expecting expounding upon a subject, but finding just a blank slate.

Maybe he just doesnt like to waste his words on me. :(

That's how we leave messages for each other.

To: Me
Subject: "Phone Message: (Priority: 6) - Billy Bo Bob Jimbo (503-555-1212)"
Message: (blank)

Well if it's only a few words, then where's the problem?

The problem is the frustartion the sendee gives to the reciever upon opening the email message.
Even if it's short, there are no exceptions to bad manners. :)

Ask them to put "n/m" at the end of the subject line to indicate there's nothing included in the actual message.

gmail users wouldn't mind this. It's all right there anyway.
