Link ,nice to see some new sound cards on the market :).

If you are worried about the Entertainer taking over a large part of your computer's processing ability, don't be. The actual percentage of processing taken up by the soundcard is a minimal 3%, shown here using the RMAA benchmarking tool.

I would compare audio CDs to high bit rate MP3s played through my sound card, noticing little or no difference in clarity and depth. Games sounded absolutely incredible, most notably Need For Speed: Underground (my new waste of time), as well as Neverwinter Nights (Hordes of the Underdark).

The Entertainer is a great soundcard with a good price, solid performance and extreme compatibility

Finally a sound card I'd buy if I had a motherboard with less than acceptable onboard sound.

IFthe NF3-250 turns out to be good and IF it's onboard audio sucks, this card would be a good choice for me. :)

This sound card has been out for a while. It's a decent card, but I'm not really impressed by it. Another review pitted it against a Fortissimo III and it was very comparable to it. If I was going for an Envy Based sound card, I'd rather get a full fledge one like the Revo 7.1 instead of one using the cut-down 24 Envy HT-S like the Mad Dog. Chaintech also makes a similiar model that sells for below $30.

Check CompUSA every couple of months. I picked up two of these Entertainer 7.1's as Christmas gifts for just $19.95 each (after rebate) a little while back. As I recall, it's usually on sale every 2-3 months.
