in tonite's Enterprise, one of the senior crew gets captured. so what does the captain do? he and the rest of the senior crew (except the communications chick) form a rescue party. No extras, no "red shirts," just the senior crew.

Excuse me, but who in their right minds would do this in an actual combat situation???

it's like sending Paton and his senior generals charging into direct combat w/rifles. or parachuting Nixon into the jungles of vietnam. Or bush personally searching each cave for Bin laden.

Is Enterprise production so poor that they can't afford to add a couple of security officers as extras? or does cast member have to have a minimum ammount of camera time?

Enterprise = SUCK!

Not the 1701-D, you're just watching the wrong show! ;)

Remember Starfleet protocol hasn't been established yet.

If YOU were the Captain, you'd want to do all of the exciting stuff too!

The Red Shirts figured out that they were the ones that always get killed on those missions and told the Captain to do it himself.

I don't get it. I'm a fan but I do like enterprise it's way better than voyager ever was.

I am somewhat annoyed that plot has taken a backseat to what's her name's body (P'tol) I mena don't get me wrong she is damn fine but I do want to see a good Star trek episode and this gratuitous soft-core just leaves me hot and bothered.....

on the plus side I'm looking forward to picking up the next Gen boxed set soon :)

I miss the disposable 'red shirts' :( You always knew you'd never see them in another episode.

Re: tonight's episode....good to see 'Odo' again :)

Loved the line, "What will you do, program a holographic doctor?" lol ;)

I used to love finding creative way to "off" my redshirts in the old 25th Anniversary and Judgements Rights games, yet still completing the mission.

When I beat 25th anniversary, the message from the admiral telling my "score" was very mean, she said I sucked and to try again. I guess I killed too many red shirts.
