Enterprise level web hosting

Hey guys, I was just wondering what kind of web hosting companies are out there that can host a multimedia heavy company's website? And just how expensive they would be. Whenever I search for web hosting I always end up with cheap web hosting solutions with very limited monthly bandwidth.

Also out of curiosity what web hosting solutions does Microsoft and big companies like that have?

You want at least a dedicated server, probably managed. You might even need a server cluster if the load / traffic is high enough.

www.theplanet.com is one well-regarded company several steps above the $10/month hosting.

Would something like a 5000gb a month bandwidth plan be reasonable for a media heavy website?

Thats true, sorry about that.

Basically this is for a marketing plan for one of my marketing courses. I need to find out how much it would cost to design, publish, and maintain a website that will provide trailer (much like apple does), high resolution graphical images, a forum, and grapically intensive flash animations.

I don't know exactly what kind of hosting is required for this and whether or not there should be an in house technician to run all of this or would the company that I sign up with maintain the website and all we have to provide is the content?
