Enterprise LAN Testing Tool?

I'm looking for any suggestions on tools or programs to do testing on an internal LAN at my workplace. We are a large business and looking to run extensive tests on the network. We have been testing from the Macs that we run with Helios LanTest.

I would like the software to have similar functionality to LanTest such as the ability to run an automated battery of tests that include multiple small file transfers, multiple large file transfers, opening and closing a large amount of files and deleting multiple files.

Any ideas? Did some googling and most of the results were just freeware stuff for SOHO apps/bandwidth monitoring.
