I'm looking for some different software to run our tape backups at work. We've had a lot of problems recently and I think it's because we've outgrown the cheap software we're using now. There's some obvious options, like Backup Exec, but I'm wondering if there's some other software out there that wouldn't be as expensive, but would be more capable/full featured and including a robust monitoring/alerting system.
