Entering Hebrew text in a word processor

Does anyone know of a wordprocessor that handles this correctly? I've recently done a bunch of google searches trying to get OpenOffice to be able to handle Hebrew text-entry, but their "Right-to-Left" text mode just right-justifies the page. In other words, the phrase "please help" would come out "please help" right-justified instead of "pleh esaelp", with the cursor ending up on the left "p".

Given the number of people involved in the opensource community who are from countries that use right-to-left languages, I'd be really surprised if there wasn't support for this somewhere - and in fact, OpenOffice states in several places that they have CTL (complext text layout) support for languages such as Hebrew and Arabic. I'm probably missing something obvious. Any advice is really appreciated.

(By the way, I'm using OpenOffice in X under Linux).
