Enter Network Password Keeps Popping Up on Restart

I have Windows Me as my operating system and Comcast Cable as my Server. I have a network card in my computer. After I restart my computer from a complete shutdown I get a screen that pops up and says "Enter Network Password" My user name is displayed but my passwork is blank. I usually just hit cancel then the computer keeps loading up. How can I stop this window from popping up?. Is there something that I can do so that Windows ME will save my password and prevent this message from coming up?

in win98 what you can do is to choose windows logon instead of client for microsoft networks in the network proporties in control panel. not sure if the same thing can be applied to ME but i think it should be similar.

About the only way to stop it is to remove the client for M$ Networking. I think that a box would still come up by switching the logon unless you removed the .pwl and used no password afterwords.

Alternatively, you could use a tweakui program to log you in automatically--that's what I do here.

goto your network properties and use "WINDOWS LOGON" as your main network logon...when the window networking screen pops up just click "OK" and the next time you reboot there will be no screen
