I've got an Ensoniq AudioPCI 1370 that I can't get to record thought the mic input (using Audacity). The default Windows XP driver lists it as "Creative AudioPCI (ES1370), SB PCI 64/128 (WDM)". I've tried downloading new drivers from here.

But trying to install them says it's not a Creative card, so won't install. I think this card came out in the mid 90's, and Creative bought Ensoniq before XP came out anyway, so I'm not sure what other driver I could use.

You'll probably want older, non-Creative drivers. However, it's a crapshoot which ones will work, you'll likely need to do some experimenting. Try some of these.

Yeah I saw that page since its the first google result for drivers, but it's a mess, so a bit too overwhelming to try all those. Maybe I'll just get another card for it.

Slightly off topic now, but I'm trying to install a used SB Live 5.1 Platinum that I came across, but these drivers won't install for this card either, giving the same message (no SB card found) as the other drivers for the other card! Any ideas why? Is the card likely bad? Should XP have native drivers for this?

This mentions something about the card ID getting corrupted. Here's Another slightly similar thread.

This is the driver I tried:
