I am still working on my my latests upgrade, and I was wondering if the new power supply I got for christmas will be up to the task, I don't plan on overclocking, so it probably wont be an issue, but I'd like to see what everyone thinks

PSU
Antec TruePower 380w

Optical
plextor 16x cdrw
toshiba dvd rom

HD

160 GB WD caviar se 7200 rpm(8mb)
80 GB IBM deskstar 7200rpm (2mb)
2 80 GB 7200 rpm (8mb) Maxtors in RAID 0 array, (1 sata, 1 pata)

RAM

1GB Corsair Valuekit (2x512)

AGP

Geforce 3 (crap, I know, don't do much gaming nowadays)

PROC

AMD Athlon 64 2800+ (stock hs/f)

MOBO

DFI Lanparty ut nF3 250gb

2 80mm case fans

I know that this is a good PSU, just wondering if it's rated wattage will be enough to handle all of this stuff (I'm still waiting on a few parts from newegg, thats why I haven't tested it myself)

yes, it's perfectly fine. you should be able to handle even a 6800 gt in there.

thanks for the link, It seems like I should be ok, although according to the calc, I might run into some problems should I ever decide to go with 2 pci express 6800 ultras in SLI (it'll never happen) Of course that would mean a new mobo too, I dobut it!

Can you return it for a refund since its brand new still? If I were you, id spend a few more buck and get something bigger... just for peace of mind anyways.

You can never have too much power and its better to have a larger PSU that has to work less than a small PSU that is working at max load.

that psu would handle what you listed.

overclocking or adding 6800 or x800 card will probably give you minor problems...and you're already running quite a few drives there.

max output is 360 watts with +12 already stretched to 18a. +5 and +3.3 are good at 28a respectively, for a psu at this price point.
