Enom drops Registerfly

It took me from middle of December till end of January this year to get my Domains released.

I probably spend 5 hours on hold and countless email support tickets.

Thank God GoDaddy is so easy.

Trick:

If you can change your WHOIS, c hange the registrant to yourself, and let it update. Then do a domain transfer to GoDaddy, and you'll get your domain.

RossMAN - I just pushed it to Enom, I just wanted out of RF immediately. These are domains that have about 10 years pre-paid on each, I didn't feel like transferring each and paying another year on top of it.

Plus, I'm an Enom reseller as well, it's just too easy 🙂

My four primary domains are with registerfly. I suppose I need to figure out a way to get them to namecheap now (where my other ~7 domains are).

My only gripe with Namecheap is they only accept Visa/MC directly. But they are still leaps and bounds over RF. I still recommend NC to customers who want an external registrar 🙂

They also accept Paypal and Google Checkout 🙂

So NameCheap.com is the way to go if you want to host elsewhere?

The UI is much more intuitive than GoDaddy's and their optional services are often much cheaper. NameCheap is the only way to go, IMHO. 🙂

No, they're the way to go for domain registration but I do have an AWESOME hosting deal you might be able to get in on 🙂

1GB disk space, 20GB bandwidth, host up to 20 domains, cPanel, Fantastico - all for $25/yr.

Contact me via Skype.

My one experience with registerfly was horrid.

I purchased a domain which I was told was available, it completed the transaction and I received the confirmation e-mails. The next day I discover the domain had been registered a few days earlier by someone else. Registerfly was completely unresponsive to my inquiries on how to get my money back.

Ended up calling my bank to dispute the charges and they said Registerfly even refused to talk to them either, insanity.
