Enlighten me on the "Aliens" Movies.

Haven't seen Alien 3, but the rest suck. (Aliens is OK, but not great -- the other two are horrible).

Yes, Lucas wrote the Star Wars screenplay, Dan O'Bannon wrote the Alien screenplay. Alan Dean Foster just wrote novelizations of those screenplays.

Alien and Aliens are worth watching. Aliens 3 sucked and after the reviews Alien Resurrection recieved I didn't bother watching it. Alien vs Predator I haven't seen either because the entire premise just screamed suckfest.

I think Alien and Aliens are great horror/sci-fi movies though. Definitely DVD worthy.

Aliens is my favorite movie
Alien^3 theatrical was ok... the special edition is great.
Alien resurrection is the worst of the bunch.

Predator is a great movie
Predator 2 is ok

Alien vs Predator is ok

I made a thread about how much more I liked the special edition of Alien^3.

I know I'm going against the crowd, but IMO, Alien was slightly better than Aliens. Aliens was an action movie, Alien was....creepy. It's almost in a class of it's own.

exactly, they were different movies. I wouldn't really put one above the other...which one to watch depends on your mood.

Aliens had more great quotes, though. Plus, the auto-turrets that HL2 stole (and didn't make as cool).

My Dad likes Alien the best out of the bunch too.

It was certainly a revolutionary movie when it came out. It's hard to believe it's from '79 watching it.
