newegg.com has the case listed as follows. Has anyone got this from them? Does it include any fans? Do I need more than what is included if I don'y intend to overclock?

Thanks,
Dhanu...

Enlight Medium ATX Tower Case Model EN-72370X3 with 300Watts Power Supply, 4 5.25" Bays, 2 3.5" Bays & 1 Hidden 3.5" Bay recommended by AMD. Fedex Saver Shipping $15.00

This is a very nice case. Easy to mod, comes with 1 80mm front intake fan. The PSU is kinda dogmeat though, it gives AMD users problems rather often, but it's no problem to swap out for a sparkle or something. Very nice case though, completely screwless.

I recommend buying the one with 340W PSU, you'll be happy that you did. I think they include one fan that's mounted in the front of the case. If you want to do some tweaking, I recommend putting another fan at the back for exhaust.

I have it. I've modded it some and it does a very good job. I would agree that you need another fan in the back (along with the PS fan and the one included in the front) especially if it will be an AMD system. Those TBirds get HOT!! Good luck with your new case.

Mine from Newegg came with a nice 300 watt AMD approved Antec power supply. The intake fan is a cheap sleeve bearing magic fan. I yanked mine and replaced it with a Sunon. The tinfoil like slot shields is a joke and reek in cheapness. But then again you really cant complain about it since the case is extremely afforable.

Correction mine did come with a Enlight power supply not Antec. Its says it 2.03 Intel compliant so it should cut it for my wimpy Duron 750 that is going to run.

yiwonder: is there enough room to mod for a 120mm exhaust? I would assume there is ample room in the front for a 120mm intake.

Rain:

Yea, I got the Enlight 250W, back then we never needed more than 250W. I hope Newegg is bundling the Enlight PSUs with those 7237s.

Yes. Let me find a good mod site for the 7237. Just have to search the very old bookmarks...
Edit: Here it is. A very good read with some good ideas. Page 3 for the front 120mm blowhole.

LXI , I bought mine this week from Newegg so you should get one from them with a Enlight 300 watt supply.

Yea, back then, like 2 years ago when I bougth mine, they come with 250W PSUs.

Good, I hope the 340W version is also Enlight, as far as I know only Enlight make 340W power supplies, so there is a good chance. Personally I'm very superstitious when it comes to power, I dont feel comfortable using anything under 340/350W in a loaded AMD system.

LXI, Im pretty sure the 340 one from Newegg has a Enlight supply also. Be prepared to dig up some fan screws if you planning to mount a outake fan. Mine did not come with any fan screws.

The 7237 Im using now doesn't include any fan screws either, I just used the push pins, they worked perfectly.

Rain - I know what you are talking about now with the sheet metal. I basically just punched every PCI slot out and replaced them with real case slot covers that I have accumulated in my box a hardware. I am very happy with this case. It is very easy to get into and work in.

Dhanu, seems your questions have been answered, but I'll give you a recent example re the supplied Enlight p.s.

I helped a friend set up the 300w p.s. version of the 7237 w/ an Iwill KK266, TBird 1.2G C, 256MB Crucial PC133 CAS2, IBM 60GXP 60G, Toshiba IDE DVD, IDE Zip, floppy, HP CD-RW (from old system), 2 NIC's (one for cable modem, one for PNA), Asus GeForce2 32MB DDR, AOpen AW744Pro sound, PCI FireWire.

All went well until he installed the PNA NIC. It brought the whole system to a crawl, and the bottom line is Diamond says there's an incompatability between the Broadcom chip and VIA 686B. He replaced the Diamond PNA card w/ a Linksys USB PNA - fixed that. Then he added the PCI FireWire and no boot, no video BIOS splash, nothing.

I suggested he pull all cards not necessary to boot, and up it came. Replaced the Enlight 300w p.s. w/ an Enermax 430w and now it runs fine w/ all cards/periphs installed.

Thanks folks! Help is much appreciated.

I think I'll get the case from newegg.com with the 300W Enlight PS for now. I don't have the $$$ right now to get an upgraded PS. Unless anyone of you know of a deal where I can upgrade the PS for about $10 more...

Thanks,
Dhanu...
