I have an Enlight 7237 case, i have an intake fan at the front of the case already, and there is a spot to install another one in the rear. question is do i want that fan in the back to draw cool air into the case or pull hot air out of the case ?

thanks stanger

An 80mm fan will line up perfectly and should blow out.

There are two rules of thumb to consider with fan placement.

1. When possible, you should have equal air flow into and out of the case. If you do not have this, you run into issues with positive and negative pressure in the case. Depending on your application, you may or may not want either of these situations. e.g. more intake results in positive pressue in the case which (if you have filters on your fans) keeps dust out.

2. Intakes should blow into the bottom of case and exhausts blow air out of the top of the case. This is simply to take advantage of the fact that heat rises.

Kewl. If I got an 80mm Panaflo, do you think that would be sufficient for sucking out air?

thanks for the quick reply :) I take it the power supply fans would not pull out enough air for a 80mm intake in the front and an 80mm fan intake fan in the rear ?
thanks again,stanger

I wouldn't have an intake and exhaust so close to each other - it doesn't promote good air circulation.

SOP for basic 7237 ventilation is front intake , PS and rear exhaust.

Your first case mod would be to enlarge the vent holes on the front bezel to improve airflow. This can be done with a drill easily.
