I am going to upgrade my old Enlight 7237 case for P4 use. I know I'll need a new P4 power supply. My question is whether I can get a new piece where all the connections come through. My old back panel doesn't accomodate soundcard connections and 4 USB ports. Are these panels sold separately or do they come with motherboards?

Thanks for any advice.

Depends on the brand, I've seen them come in the motherboard box sometimes.

I've seen them come with motherboards in the past. Depends on the brand, even my cheap ecs board gave me one (too bad it doesn't fit correctly).

My 7237 that I bought over the summer has a back faceplate that accomodates 2 Serial ports, 1 printer port, keyboard, mouse, 2 USB ports, a gameport (joystick), and 3 openings for sound jacks. All of those come from the motherboard. If there are 4 USB ports that are mounted on the motherboard, then I don't know if it will work. Your best bet would be to email Enlight and ask them about it. Also, email the vendor who you are buying it from (or open the box of the case and look if you're buying it at a B&M store) to make sure that what you buy is what you want.

If you need a different back panel, ask the case manufacturer, some manufacturers give it to you free.
