My last phone was an S21. On that phone, and the phones before it, all my free games from the Play Store had ads at certain invertals (between rounds, etc). Once I transferred my data and apps to the S24 FE, I am now treated to constant ads at the top or bottom of the screen, depending on the app, in addition to the already-existing ads at certain intervals. At first, I checked my old phone to make sure I hadn't missed an update that added this in (I had not). Does anyone know why the newer phone would be getting constant ads (and possibly a way to disable)?

You could try rootless ad blocking. I use this...

It creates a local vpn, and blackholes ad requests that are in the lists you choose. This won't work if you use a regular vpn, cause afaik, android still only allows one, and I haven't tested it a ton cause I don't really use apps that have ads. I did just setup a new phone, forgot to enable the lists, and one app that does have ads showed them til I thought "WTF?!". After enabling the lists, the ads disappeared.

Dunno why you're seeing more ads now.

I was going to suggest DNS66 but it looks like development has stopped and it's being continued with the DNSNet app that lxskllr suggested. I learned something new today. I guess I'll be updating soon.

DNS66 was my goto, but dropped development was the reason I switched. It still worked fine on the V13 device I used it on, but dnsnet works fine too, so there's no reason not to switch, though I do prefer the dns66 icon :^D
