nick drake - pink moon - road

i am not sure how many here will know of nick drake so here is the lowdown. his debut record 'five leaves left' was released in late 69 at the age of 21. that was followed by 'bryter layter' in 70 and 'pink moon' in 72. he suffered severe depression and withdrew from the world for 2 years before ODing on antidpressants.

nick drake was an amazing songwriter who never knew success but whose brief stamp on the world has lived on and continues to influence many important musicians.

I've been listening to five leaves left a lot recently, that guy kicks ass. An intesting one though... who is better, Nick Drake or Elliot Smith?
