Sure, we all like new things but your materialism goes way too far if you use it to excuse and justify this type of lifestyle. I couldnt live like that. Pulling those kinds of stunts certifies you as a grade A deadbeat and moocher. I also take pride in my credit rating and use loans frequently as a way to fund projects and raise capital. Not messing that up.

Also requires lots of time, possible wage garnishment, court cases for the debt, etc.. That and if you have a mortgage, I don't know how the hell you maintain a home since they can obviously re'po the home.
bankruptcy erases the debt thus no wage garnishment.
also your primary house and 1 car is exempt from bankruptcy liquidation.
ie: you get to keep it

but you also still have the mortgage/loan associated with it.
