enhanced pointer precision ???

So does anybody know if you are supposed to have -
enhanced pointer precision
checked under mouse properties? I am just wondering if it is supposed to be worthwhile with a Logitech G7. So far I have read some stuff that says to disable it if it is causing erratic motion...

The "enhance pointer precision for small movements" essentially keeps the acceleration off for movements that are under a certain speed, so that you get your mouse's full precision when you're doing detail work.

Like others have said, its just a different way of saying "acceleration". But its a weird acceleration and I dont like it. The software that came with my Razer is much better.
I also seem to recall that in earlier versions of intellipoint software allowed 3 different levels of acceleration. Strong, medium and weak (I think). Wonder why they would drop a control feature like that. Maybe Bill Gates is trying to hard to simplify things.

So basically Enhanced Pointer Precision (in MS mouse control panel) is similar to Logitech Setpoint acceleration. I would imagine that you wouldn't want to use both then, correct?
