eWiz.com has the fine Enhance ENP-5150GH power supply for $61 for 72 hours. Don't know when it started or ends, but it's an excellent power supply for the money. Strong, clean, stable rails, 80+ certified, active PFC.......and is the OEM for Silverstone's Strider series.....but without the modular and sleeved cables.

Link to 5150GH power supply.

Here's a link to JonnyGuru's review of the Enhance ENP-5140GH, essentially the same as the 5150 except for 100W difference.

Notice in his review that the ripple under a full load of 407W is almost non-existent. An impressive and inexpensive power supply! The ENP-5150GH should perform exactly the same.

I don't think you're going to find another $60 power supply built as well as this one.....

all the enhance PSU's i've seen are just amazing for what you get for the money they cost.

probably the best bang for the buck around.

It's a darned good price right now! I'm using one for my wife's C2D computer.....running quiet, cool, and no problems at all....as if any were expected. And the darned thing actually looked quite nice, in an understated way.

Did you see the review of a bunch of 400W ps's done recently by a new Canadian review site? He managed to get a 5140GH to run an overclocked AMD X2 system with 2 7900GTO's in SLI. Stable, too.

Link to review.

This deal has been going on for quite some time... I would say at least 2 months.

Sorry, but you are wrong....it hasn't. I bought this power supply no more than three weeks ago from ewiz and it most certainly was NOT $61 but a bit more. Its normal price is within pennies of $70.........and I watched it for more than a few months before that and it never was this cheap.

Thanks for playing though............

Be careful with these from eWiz. I ordered 2 of these, one works perfectly, the other was RMA'd because of a bad fan or thermistor. The one I received back also had to be rma'd because of cold boot issues. I finally received a working unit, but what I got back was a refurb directly from Enhance with a big scratch on the bottom of it. They also forgot to send the power cord with it....so............

Right.....first, ewiz is responsible for a defect. And second, name me a manufacturer that has never put out products that have zero defects. Can't can you?

As for the cold boot issues, I'm wondering what board this was on......I'm almost betting it was a DFI board, which has a known cold boot issue with a LOT of power supplies. This is not a fault of the power supply but rather the DFI ?cold boot? syndrome where the DFI motherboard requires more than 3A from the +5VSB rail in order to boot. This is above ATX specs and Enhance power supplies stick to the 2.5A +5VSB ATX spec.

So, if it was a DFI, it's more the fault of DFI and their not following proper ATX specs for cold boot power requirements.....not a fault of the power supply maker for following agreed-upon ATX specs.

In all the people I've conversed with abut Enhances, I've never heard a cold boot issue with any other motherboard outside DFI with any of Enhance's power supplies.

Very nice price on a very capable PSU. This will run anything short of the very highest end SLI systems.

Thanks OP:)

I will agree that this is an excellent psu for the money, but the warranty is only 1 year since it's OEM. There are other quality 80+ psu's for a little more cash and you get a 3-5 year warranty.

I'm in the market for a good PSU, could you name some of the other quality 80+ PSUs that have a 3-5 year warranty for only a little more $$$?

Less $$ AR & a 3 year warranty. :p

The NeoHE 550 goes on sale for $50-$70 AR every now and then and has a 5 year warranty.

Both use Seasonic internals, and the Neo is modular with sleeved cables.

Just stating the facts pard. 2 brand new defective untis, 2 rma's, one returned refurb that works, and 2 months of wasted time. That may suit you just fine, but it doesn't me.....

You're right, a DFI Ultra-D, but how does that explain the refurb that works and the other 5150 that works perfectly with it...sure points to the psu but what the hell would I know

Roll the dice if you must......

Thats funny how I always buy a day before I can save money... Right after I bought the ewiz supertalent 2 gig ram and this psu, they both went down. Could have saved 15 dollars....
