Every time I eat an English Muffin, I get stomach pain for ~30 min. after consumption.

I do not get stomach pain from any other foods that I know of, including all other types of breads (flat bread, bagels, toast, donuts, etc.)

It doesn't seem to matter if it is part of a sandwich, or plain.

What makes English Muffins so evil?

The English do not want you eating their muffins!!!

What about other types of sourdough bread?

English muffin always reminds me of Will & Grace

Karen: If that dress were any higher up I could see you English Muffin.
Lorraine: Well, you're one to talk. If that top was any lower I could see your Yankee Doodles!

Skip the English muffins. Lately I've been eating these for breakfast with a little bit of lite strawberry cream cheese spread.
A whole bagel is too big for me, these are thinned down, and just right. Brilliant idea.

Clearly there is an ingredient that doesn't favor you. Have you tried several brands or just one?

Cigarettes and coffee, that is breakfast. Food is not natural to the human body and must be abstained from until it's time to start drinking again.

I usually don't eat them (partly due to the pain), but I tried out Subway's breakfast sandwich today which spurred the creation of this thread.

It was the Double Egg and Bacon Sandwich.

It happens on Thomas brand, McDonalds, Subway, generic, etc.
It's gotta be something in the bread or process.

There's some byproduct in it that you are probably intolerant to. Maybe a specific wheat/rye/gluten like others are saying. Buy some and look at the ingredients to start up process of elimination?
