Hi.
"Engineering Release. Not for Production Use."

That's the info I get during bootup for my new Jaton 3DForce FX-5600 128Mb DDR.
It came in a retail box with all the accesories and literature. And it works perfectly at 356/633 overclock (default 270/550).

I know is not the best brand out there but I have good experiences with other cards that I bought from them in the past.

I'd like to know what that message means. Am I getting an inferior card or are there some extra benefits in this version?

So far is working fine so I don't think I'm sending it back. Plus I replaced to HSF with a BlueOrb look-alike and that I think voids the guarantee.

Thanks for any opinions and help.

Maybe it was flashed with pre-production BIOS. You could always check with their tech support if their is any way for a flash update.

Sounds like a "for better or for worst, til death do you part" situation to me.

I tried a Jaton card years ago and it was a total piece of sh!t. 🙁

Well, I guess I am stuck with it for good or bad.
Later on I'll pass it to my son and get a more recognized brand and maybe the ultra version.

Thanks
