Engineering job hunt

I just graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, I also have an Associates of Applied Science in Electronics and for the last 5+ years I've been putting myself through college working in Computer Support.

Over the last few months I've applied for about 30+ jobs and I've interviewed with Kiewit (didn't get, or really want that job) and Halliburton (waiting to hear from them), but I haven't heard a peep out of any of the others.

Most places I've applied to are large engineerig companies. A lot of people have mentioned that I should be applying to smaller companies (because big companies get a lot of resumes). Problem is, I don't know any smaller companies.

Anyone know any good small to mid-sized companies that hire electrical engineers?

Consider getting a really bad part-time job to at least have an income while you find something good.

Or is that computer support job of yours not require that you be a student? You didn't really specify if it was a campus job or not, so I just assumed that it was.

Unfortunately for you, the engineering market is fairly competitive. I know an electrical engineer that had to just give up and started doing IT for the campus

My campus IT job is full time. I've been using their employee tuition discount to put myself through college.

There is a job thread here. It's stickied.

What do you expect out of posting this? There are 100,000's companies globally that probably fit that description. You have no other criteria than wanting to get a job? No location requirement? Sure, how about Jones Engineering Vancouver, Canada?

I looked thru the job thread, no entry level EE jobs, only programming. *Edit* looks like I did overlook a few jobs in there.

I was hoping that a few of the engineers that visit this forum would comment on company XYZ or recommend ABC.

Yes there an thousands of companies that fit the description. Unfortunately, the only companies that we hear about are the large companies like Motorola, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Intel, etc.

My criteria? I am that open. I have no one to keep me in Missouri. I can move anywhere.
Ideally, the job would be in the US, not in the North East and not manufacturing. I am truly open to pretty much anything else.

Thanks for the reply.
