"engineering is a real major"

Yeah, any non-technical disclipine are easy as hell. By non-technical i mean easy majors like liberal arts, business, sociology, etc. It's dumb to hear students from easy majors b!tch about their curriculum.

no.

just kind of worn out from doing homework all day on this beautiful labor day instead of going tubing. yeah. sorry, just ignore me.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you. Try taking Biochemistry-Molecular and Cellular Biology path and repeat your statement. Technical disciplines may be hard, but they aren't the only ones.

Considering you had all weekend to do it, I'm sure you're making it sound a lot worse than it really is.

he doesn't have to repeat his statment, just alter yours.

you do mean Biochemistry-Molecular engineering and Cellular Biology engineering right? 😉

uhhhhhh... Biochemistry-Molecular and Cellular Biology sounds pretty technical to me.

No, I mean Biochemistry-Molecular and Cellular Biology, or BCMB, a specialization in Biology, located in the Arts and Sciences department. 🙂

yeah well I had to go home for the weekend and my grandma got admitted to the hospital. drove back to my college town and didn't get back until 2 😀

I dont know, Ive seen some really dumb engineers/engineering grads. They may take harder math and science courses, but outside that they are lost.

And I've been working all weekend, doesn't mean I'm going to be an elitist snob about my job.

I have other things to be an elitist snob over.

but it sounds so much better with "engineering" on the end.

Sorry about your grandma - hope she's alright. My experience with the elderly and hospitals (as noted in my sig) haven't been great.

You could have always skipped it (homework) - never pass up on the opportunity in college to do memorable stuff with buds. It's about having fun. This early in the semester it's no biggie if you miss a lil hw or don't read as much as you could. 🙂

I don't think I am. I mean, English majors can write stuff that I will never be able to write. Art majors can create stuff I probably never could. Some majors are just flat out pointless though.

I love engineering majors... they choose to take on an exceptionally difficult major, then all they do is bitch about how easy others are.

Which ones are pointless?

the rule of thumb is that students are supposed to spend 2 hours to study/read/whatever for every unit we take.

Doh, that'd mean i have to spend 40 extra hours to study every week? never did it... Grades are still in pretty good shape though.

My grandma is fine, i guess she hasn't been eating enough or something (another f-ed up story i don't want to go into)

In order to not offend anybody I would not point them out. It's only my opinion anyway. I didn't mean to write pointless, maybe just easy.
