We got the motor assembled and in the car today. Unfortunately my old flywheel has one of the clutch bolt holes stripped, so we couldn't finish the project. We still have to put in the tranny (I'm going to get a new flywheel tomorrow), the radiator, and a few small miscellaneous items.
Here's the pics:
ooohh... pretty longblock
With lower intake and valve covers.
intake, throttle body, and front accessories attached
Another shot of the complete motor, w/ accessories. We were about to pull it off the stand
The motor feels much more at home here than on the stand
this is one of the bolts that the motor was hanging from the hoist by
looking across the garage. You can see some of the "toys" they have there. You, cant however see the boat and the jeep that are sitting on top of the two drive-on lifts in the garage (the blue things at the top of the frame are the ramps that the boat trailer and jeep are sitting on)
Someone mention nitrous oxide?
