Engagement Ring?

I just notice a ring on this girl in her left hand, very shiny. I always thought she was cute but knew she had a boyfriend, I guess it?s more now.
 
At the wedding the bride may temporarily switch to the right so that the wedding ring can go on ahead of the engagement ring. Very handy if she plans to never take off the wedding ring but wants to take off the engagement ring to clean it.

In the US, the wedding band is traditionally put on first. However, if one is a widow, it's traditional to wear the wedding second.
