Here so far what i planned

#1 Fedex should deliver two dozens of flowers with card( hopefully kabloom or fedex wont mess up my order cause i placed it a month ago)
#2 see lord of rings movie ( reserved tickets)
#3 dinner someplace ( dont know where yet)
#4 night at hilton towers on 6th ave in big apple
#5 nice champagne


any ideas or opinions are welcome.
 
It depends on what kind of person she is. Would she feel comfortable in public (i.e. outgoing?) or would she rather have it done personally? I think personally works best.

You could always just ask.

And if you do it in public, don't pull the "you complete me" crap. Everytime I see a proposal, it's like they're reading a script out of that Jerry McGuire movie....be original.
 
Propose to her on the bigscreen at the next Alabama Monster Trucks show.

If you're ordering dinner, just have the waiter put the ring (in the case, maybe) on her plate when he brings it out...hopefully she won't swallow it.
 
I have a suggestion - DON'T ruin LOTR with all that romantic goo..... 😛 Give her the roses AFTER, so she can enjoy the movie without having to spend the entire time wondering/worrying/anticipating whatever's going to follow.



(Of course, you could always just give ME the tickets and cut out that part entirely since neither of you will be concentrating on the movie anyway. 😀 )

isn't the 3rd finger the middle finger? I have never seen anyone wearing an engagement ring on their middle finger before.
 
that site said tradion was to place on thrid finger since it believed that it has vein that runs to the heart, now i am confused
 
How about:

1. Buy a plane ticket to Alaska. One way.
2. Pack your sh!t.
3. Move away in the middle of the night.
4. Knock her out, put her on the plane to Alaska.
5. Start dating again.
 
Isn't there somewhere where you can buy the rights to name a star or something like that? That would be romantical I think.
 
Third finger, because the thumb is not a finger. Third finger is the one between the middle finger and the pinky.

Probably wouldn't work for you, but for home Lakers games during breaks they show random people on the Jumbotron with a caption that reads "Kiss Me", and people give each other a kiss. Instead, the person proposing could get in touch with the facility, and in the middle of the Kiss-Me's, they could pop the couple on the Jumbotron and say "Marry Me".

Would be a good idea for 2 fans of the sport/team I suppose.. not quite the most romantic thing.
 
If it helps any here is how I proposed to my wife.

#1) Gave her one of those cool gold coated roses.
#2) Went out to a nice dinner.
#3) Went to a movie
#4) Went back to my place.
#5) I had the ring hidden in the bathroom closet, made the excuse I had to go to the bathroom. Then I came back in and said a few things about how I felt, then pulled out the ring and said to her "I love you, will you marry me?"

Been married 6 months as of Sunday. 🙂

We had to gag ImTyping at the wedding though... J/K... 🙂 😀 😛 😉 🙂
