Was going to buy an Enermax powersupply @ fry's today, but noticed the PS inside the box had been switched to A1 Electronic. Guess someone wants to save a little and exchanged it.
After I got home and checked the AMD recommended list, I was surprised to find out that no Enermax powersupply is approved for 1.33Ghz T-bird.
Then I found out it is approved for lower speed T-bird and has a combined power of 165W on EG285-P(300W) and EG451P-V(450W) only has 210W.
The other brand with combined power of 180W, Seventeam(300W) actually is approved for 1.33Ghz.
This is quite strange to see that a combined power of 210W can't be approved for 1.33Ghz yet a 180W combined can approved for 1.33Ghz.
I wonder if this has to do with continous power rating rather than peak power, like the receiver ratings.
Anyway, I am very disppointed with Enermax's performance rated by AMD. Too bad, cuz it looks like a very decent powersupply.
