I am in the midle of my first build and I noticed that my PSU has a small plug coming out of the main sleeved bunch of cables. The manual says it can be connected to the motherboard so that the system can monitor the PSU fan speed and react if there is a problem. I cannot find the right plug on the motherboard (DFI lanparty ultra-D). Should I just forget about it?

hummm... does it look like a fan connector? or more like the 4 pin aux power one? Never used the newer Lanparties, but you'd think DFI would have a plug for that. And NICE PSU! I wanna get one myself :D

It's much smaller than a MOLEX.. it's more or less like an FDD plug..

I think thats just a fan monitor. Plug it into any of the fan headers on the motherboard. It looks similar to the one that the cpu fan is plugged into. Theres most likely 3 or 4 on the board.
