Hi all,
i've got this new PSU for my home system :

core 2 duo e6750
abit ip35 (with the nasty double reboot bug)
geforce 7900gs from gainward
hitachi 320gb
samsung burner 128d

Now my question is :
This PSU got modular cabling, so the PSU has plugs, where you can plug only those cables you need. It has two 12V rails, 22 A each. The plugs are in two rows, one above the second, in one row are one PCI-e plug and three standard 12V plugs for everything else.

How do i know, on which of the two 22A rails have i plugged the specific connectors?? Can i asume, that each row of the plugs is one 22A rail ?

Thanks for any advice.

It isn't certain really. Usually one rail is for the CPU, one of the PCIe, and maybe a molex line, the other rail is the other PCIe, the mobo, and the rest of the molex plugs. I could be wrong though, Jonnyguru would know better than I would.

Check the Enermax's manual. My Enermax EG495P-VE shows the distribution of the 12V1 and 12V2 rails.

The IP35 comes with 8-pin/4-pin plug, 24 pin plug, and a molex plug for the GPU. First two are no-brainer. The molex plugs are generally located on the 12V rail that's not powering the CPU.

In general is it's a dual railed PSU then one is dedicated for the CPU and the other handles the rest of the system. If it has 3 or more rails then it can very quite a bit from one brand to another. As with the dual rail one of the rails is dedicated to the CPU. Often with 3 or more rails there is a rail dedicated to the PCI-e connectors as mentioned above and the last rail handles everything else.
