I'm thinking about sinking quite a bit of money into a good PSU unit. This one I keep going back to because of how much amps it carries on it's rails, and Enermax seems to be a quality brand that has a good 3 warranty. Are there any better deals out there with the amperage, and quality? Any other recommendations I appreciate. Plan on ordering tomorrow afternoon so I can beat myself up on what to go with next.

Here are some of the specifications that I really like.

80PLUS certified

82-85% efficiency @ 20-100% load: Minimizing your electricity bill

24/7 @ 40°C: Running with full power in industrial environments.

+12V1 28A

+12V2 28A

+12V3 28A

Warranty Length: Three Years Manufacturer warranty.

Cool Guard: The new patent feature, running not only PSU fan after shutdown, but all system fans to get the heat out of the system and increasing system lifetime by up to 20%

Etasis? Never heard of them..

Enermax.. I think they're pretty much THE top of the line. PC Power and Cooling is good too - but I still trust Enermax more since some other lesser brand bought PCP&C..

But, I wouldn't buy a '3-rail' power supply.. Good power supplies should be able to supply a high amount on a single 12v rail.

You've obviously never opened up a high-end server, then.

They were, a few years back, but not anymore. Now they're just decent.

Enermax makes no single 12v rail psu's. PC Power & Cooling is one of the few who still do. Of course, multiple 12v rails is fine, as long as it's done correctly.

Yeah, I've used an Etasis Server PSU for a Terminal Services Server a couple months ago. The dimensions on that PSU make me concerned if it will fight in my Chakra or not. I read a review that said it was 7.1 inches wide. I measured it, and that is a very tight fit for my mid tower case. I don't know if I want to risk getting it here, and then shelling out 5 to 10 bucks sending it back. I think I may just go with the Enermax 500 Watt Liberty for 114.00 on newegg. I plan on spending tomorrow researching, and wrecking my brain trying to make the right choice. I want something I can have in the future for new GPU's that come out on the market.

Not anymore... they've been cheaping out on the Liberties and they have been blowing up. Not sure about the Infiniti series but personally I'm staying away from them.

$114 for a 500W Enermax?

ZZF has the Corsair VX550 for $64AR. Much better.

But yeah, that Etasis is a steal (if it fits).

I went ahead, and just bought the Corsair HX Series CMPSU-620HX 620 Watt. 5 year warranty, Seasonic parts. Sounds good

You made a good choice, I own the Enermax 720watt you were looking at and its great also. As for the liberty's blowing up, ya i've heard of a few and I know people that have them an not a problem. i've been using nothing but enermax PSU's and have never had 1 die on me. So making general statement like that don't mean much, that is like saying never buy a Seagate HD cause I had 2 die on me!

I call shens on Enermax's quality being worse unless I see some hard proof, and a few Liberties "blowing up" doesn't count. Any company can have a bad batch of their product. I'm not saying Enermax is the best, but where does this stuff about their quality being lower than it use to be come from? In my eyes they're still up there by the top, I could very well be wrong, but I've yet to see any wide spread info that there's been a drop in their quality.

I've got two machines using liberty 620's and my personal uses a galaxy 850 and I've never had a problem with an enermax ps which is why I use them exclusively. I'm not saying that they're the greatest thing since sliced bread but they've been consistently reliable for me. Antec on the other hand....lets not go there. It's your money and your choice so weigh your options before you buy.
