Hi everyone, long time reader, first time poster. Im having a, somewhat, difficult time distinguising these two particular cases and I'm not certain which one to get. Noise is an issue I guess, but cooling is also a big factor. The Enermax comes with 3 80mm fans and the antec comes with 2. Which one provides better cooling/noise? The Antec comes with a 400WATT PSU, the Enermax, however; I have no clue what that comes with, all I found on the Enermax site pertaining to the PSU was "PSII / Mini RPM SIZE." Can anyone please help me, and clarify this for me? With all things considered (price is pretty much negligable), what would you pick and why? Also is there anything else besides what I've mentioned above that helps distinguish these two, pretty much, identical cases?

Websites for these two cases are:

http://www.enermax.com.tw/products/fs-710.htm:confused:

They are the same chassis. I have the FS 710 BB (purple model). It came with 3 global 80mm fans which are very quiet. They aren't the biggest air movers in the universe but they get the job done. My only complaint re: My Enermax is the paint job ( on the black/Purple version). It is shonky and rough, i would hope the beige one is much better.

Most of the FS 710s I have seen are sold without a PSu. The Psu on the Antec is very very nice.

Chieftec also have a few variants on the case design which i like here

If the prices are similar- get the Antec, the 400W is excellent (Unless the Enermax Psu is a 430W in which case it is a toss up)

Which ever way you go- both are superb cases. My only complaints are the lack of a removable motherboard tray and that the doors are a bit wimpy

Jabberwock,

As damocles said, the chassis is exactly the same.

The two differences are that the power supply and the included case fans. The enermax cases come with 3 80mm cases fans while the Antec comes with 2 80mm case fans. They both have the capability of housing 4 80mm case fans with no modifications. In terms of noise, you will need to look at the fan specifications for each case. In my experience, the case fans are not loud enough to make a difference especially if your are running a Delta on the HSF.

In terms of the PS, the Antecs come with an Antec PS and the Enermaxs come with an Enermax PS. I did not look at the regular FS-710 so I do not know whether they are sold with or without a PS. I got the FS-710BB and it came with a solid 300W Enermax PS.

In my opinion, the determining factor should be the PS since everything else (case and case fans) seems to be a wash. The only exception is the colour. If you fancy one colour over another it may help you to decide.
