I am going to be purchasing this PSU and was wondering if there any problems with it? Going to build a XP rig and read that there are some voltage issues with a Epox mobo? If I decide to purchase a ASUS or what not should I still worry?
What is the problem in general with the PSU and the Epox?

I have this PS and have used it with an ABIT KG7 and now is in an MSI K7T 266 PRO2 and have had no probs. Running an MP1600 @ 1900 with 4 U160 10k SCSI HD's, 2 IDE 7200 HD's, 1 IDE 5400 HD, 1 24x CDRW, 1 40x CDROM and 6 case fans with no problems.

There were some Epox boards that have/had a problem with the Enermax Power Supplies and their 5 volt rail. This was long ago so I don't remember the specifics as to which MB it was. Very strange though, as the Enermax is one of the better PS's. I did a little checking on the Overclockers Workbench EPOX forum and found that the problems reported were due to the low power output from the 5 volt rail; specifically when trying to overclock. Some individuals have even done a modification to get around this. You might try asking there if you don't get any more specific responses here.

Using the Enermax 431w(465-VE) here and I`ve no problems with my EPOX 8KHA+ ,the 5v rail is constant 4.98v which is well within safe spec, yes there were reports with some Enermax PSUs on some older Epox boards but I think with the latest Epox boards and Enermax PSUs you should have no problems.

Mine is rock stable btw :).
