Not many people have problems with them, mine work great. Sure your mobo is okay and not shorted or something?

If it is a bad PSU I have no idea where to RMA that, I was just thinking that last night. For first 30 days, whereever you bought it. But after that...?

Sometimes the timing of the Power_Good signal from the power supply is too fast or slow for the particular motherboard. Unless you want to go into the supply and tweak the timing resistor and capacitor, the only solution is a new supply or motherboard.

I just got an Enermax EG465P-VE and it is doing something similar. I tried it out on a system that was already working and it will only stay up for 30 sec - 5 minutes before it shuts off. If I wait long enough for the power supply to reset, it will come back, but does the same thing everytime.

I swapped it into another system and put the Sparkle power supply from that system into the first one, and the problem moves with the Enermax. It is going back.

I am trying to decide whether I should try another Enermax or give up and get a 400W Sparkle.

Try with your old PSU again. If problem persists you know it's not the PSU. It could be the mobo.

Believe me Lilscooters, lot's of builder's have run into the exact same thing with PS's and it's very common for us (at first...anyway) to buy that cheapo 300w unit oNLY to find out the same crap as your experienced.

Having said that, the brand that you have should have been a great unit, RMA that thing back for another.
