Not to thread crap. I use to own a pair of Energy, Take 5.1's Too damn bright for me. Took em back. I really wanted to make them work.

I don't know ton's of good reviews. And I actually tried them twice. With both the same effects. It really is true. --- Listen to them before you buy. Some people light brightness I'm however am not one of them. I guess I am a silk dome tweater kind of guy... ;)

Very true that listening before buying is a good idea.

I was on the energy web site and it seems the Take 2 series has been discontinued. here is a new Take line.

Also, Amazon has the eXL15 pair for $89.98.

bass, not base

And, for the money, I hope Energy is a hell of a lot better than paradigm. Like comparing it to Sony...

Now I need an 8" front firing powered sub.

Would a $120 12" front firing sub work for you?

Looks like the prices have gone down even more. Amazon now has them listed at "outlet special" prices. Looks they'll be running out soon. Get 'em while you can.
