I'm looking for a 200-250 watt power supply but I am not sure if it would power a quad core. Or should I purchase an Antec Earthwatts? Would it reduce power consumption considerably? any and all help is appreciated

Too low for a quad. Get at least a good 500 watt, preferably more. If it is under $100 be wary, unless you don't have a powerful video card. For reduced power consumption look for the 80+% efficient units. Browse Newegg for all the specs.

EarthWatts are good PSUs. Get at least a 430W, if not a 500W, if you are powering a quad, and have a powerful video card. If you plan to SLI/Crossfire, or if the video card has both an 8-pin and a 6-pin PCI-E power connector then get an EarthWatts 650W (or higher).
