Energizer vs Duracell

i dont like energizer, they false advertise. they don't keep going and going, they ran dead after only a couple hours...

In my Sony Discman, Energizers lasted the longest...

Rayovac's sucked... but maybe I got an old date code or something.

They're all made at the same plant.

But, there are slight differences in them, not enough to matter really. The biggest thing is getting fresh ones. Alks lose juice over time, usually a few years into their life when they actually get to the stores they're down to 60-70%. If you get nice fresh ones (the ones with a date 10 years out) then you're good to go.

FYI Radioshack had a great deal on huge packs of batteries, something like $.15/battery, which rivals most other brands, but theirs are way fresher and tend to last longer.

Whichever is on sale or has a rebate or something. We usually get Rayovac ones from Menards when they have a rebate on them so it's like $1 per pack.

Energizer and Duracell are overpriced.

Yep the NEW high end Rayovac seem to hold up just as well.

but I get rechargeable batteries. Why pay good money for soemthing you will throw away after using it. Never have had to buy batteries for several years now. just recharge them and go. I even use the Rayovac ones. They are cheaper and I have soem that are going on 4+ years now.

Memorex Rechargables. The only time I have ever gotten single use batteries, was when I wanted to drive my R/C car around, and those were Duracells.
