Energizer 2500 mAh NiMH - 8 for $15.84 at Sams - other battery deals too

Just got back from Sams Club.


Here's the deals:

8 - 2500 mAh NiMH batteries for $15.84
8 - 2500 mAh NiMH batteries plus a overnight charger for $19.88.
4 - 2500 mAh NiMH, 2 850 mAh AAA batteries plus a new 15 min rapid charger for ~$30.

The overnight charger is the one called the "compact charger"


Energizers are ranked at the top for recharable batteries.

For a price reference, Thomas Distributing (the big Maha retailer) is selling Energizer 2500mah 8 packs for $21.77 before shipping!

I did read somewhere that any claims that a NiMH battery does better than 2200 mAh is bogus, but Energizer is a real company with a real reputation. The the review of their Energizer 2300 model ranked it at the top so I'd assume the 2500 tops that. Heck, this price is better than the prices on name brand 2100s.

Could you link this for us? i went to SC's site and all I see is 2300 mAh for $15.84.

I physically went to the store. In my case it was the store in Melbourne, FL on 192.

The package comes with a disclaimer that they reduce the number of recharge cycles available to gain the extra capacity.

So, your tradeoff is longer between charges but shorter between replacements. (I upgraded a few months back from the 2300 to 2500 for my digicam and they do last longer.)
