Enemy Front WWII FPS

This is coming out today -- unlocks around 3-4pm Eastern Specific Time for some reason.

Looks good, but I'm skeptical. Why is it only $30...? On the other hand, I've got jack to do all week on vacation.

Screw it, just "pre" bought it. Should be unlocked in an hour. Will report back on how it goes.

I was really excited about this until I found out the multiplayer was 12 players max. I buy games exclusively for the multiplayer portion, so that was a deal breaker for me.

I "preordered" it an hour before it was released, and now 5 hours later, the game is 20% off on steam. FML. Preordering got me extra DLC stuff that I probably won't use (looks like its mainly MP related), so I'd rather have the extra US$6...

Oh, and the game's a total consolized port. It's COD2 with better graphics, a shit ton of saturated reflections (HDR?), but a lot fewer friendly soldiers. It uses the Cryengine, so it's a bit like Crysis -- I only played the first. Objects can be destroyed, just not to the extent of Crysis 1. I haven't found a single drivable vehicle yet.

Mouse feels sluggish with some acceleration. Can't find a way to turn it off. The game crashed my graphics driver twice, one complete black screen lockout that required a hard reboot. It's definitely stressing my AMD 6850 from the sound of the fan. Everything's on high and runs smoothly. Running with 8 GB ram and a 5 year old i5 750. Installed on my regular HDD.

Having said that, for $23, it's fun. Even for $30, pretty worth it.

This game looks atrocious, definitely will not be buying this any time soon. Ill wait for next years steam sales to grab it for a few bucks.

terrible terrible game. Really bad console port, keyboard does not seem to work properly. I have to play with the controller which sucks for a twitch shooter. Enemy AI is laughable, they just run past you most of the time. Level design looks like it was done in the 90s. This game will be in the sub $5 sale soon. Now can I have my money back please?

It's nothing to write home about but fun. Turns out it's only available on Xbox 360 and PS3, not the new gen consoles.

Movement definitely feels sluggish. I've caught the AI staring at me a few too many times. Funny that is supposedly uses the Crysis engines but doesn't have the same level of stuff that can be blown around/away. Preorders and sales projections must have really sucked for it to go on sale for a week straight starting opening day.

Ah, eff. I would not buy this again if I had a choice.

It managed to BSOD my system during the launch logo screens twice in three successive launches. Three BSODs in an hour because it crashed trying to quit from the game after a 2 hour session. This is with stock everything and the latest AMD drivers after it crashed my system twice yesterday. Not happy.

The single-player only took me 5 hours to finish. One DLC map that came with my preorder took maybe 25 minutes.

Very little variety in enemies. Weapons are pretty limited too and I found myself constantly going back to the MP40 or STG44 when available. Most of the levels felt linear, especially near the end.

I checked out the multiplayer screen and only found a dozen or so servers showing up. Some not at capacity.

From watching some play through It looks to be somewhat entertaining. I think I'll wait for a 50% or a 75% sale.
