One of the poles broke while I was taking it apart the last time. It was OK for me at Bonnaroo because I had a canopy over top of it. If I hadn't had the canopy everything would have been soaked. Either way this might work for you but it is definitely a cheapo tent and I wouldn't rely on it at all.
Yeah, I agree, after getting the tent and setting it up in the backyard for a test run, it is a pretty crappy tent.
The window mesh only goes halfway down on all openings, the zippers get stuck all the time as well.
After we use it as a guest tent next week on a camping trip, I'm gonna take it back and spend an extra 10-20 and get a coleman from walmart.
I have a "White Stag" brand tent i bought at Fred Meyer up in Washington state for like 40 bucks and have used it probably 20 times. The last time me and my GF got caught in a Southern Oklahoma thunderstorm and had literally 4-5 inches of water rushing by all around the tent for like 30 minutes. We stayed completely dry. I was surprised although I usually hit my tents with some water repellant sprays from time to time which helps for the main panels but does nothing for seams or floors. But low and behold, the tent was completely dry inside.
But yeah, this Sears tent is a piece of crap.
