Endpoint Protection doesn't like Punkbuster

I have my new system up and running and Im having problems with Punkbuster (with Battlefield 2, but I'm pretty sure the problem isn't game specific)

I can't get Punkbuster to operate properly, and I'm pretty sure the problem lies with Endpoint Protection's firewall. I'd rather not disable EP's protection entirely when I game. Should I just use the built-in Windows Firewall instead?
