Endless persistance of text in an unfinnished reply

Is it just me, or if you decide not to post after you enter text into the reply window and move on to another thread, when you come back to the thread you had entered your reply in, your text is still sitting there (greyed out). If you come back into that reply window the text comes back to life. So far, OK I guess. But, deleting it does nothing. Sure enough come back into that thread and there it still is (greyed out).

Click on the little floppy disk icon above the reply window. It gives two choices, delete draft or save draft. You need to pick delete draft.

The curious part is the text will remain there even if you switch machines. For example, I log on to the forum from home and the text I typed at work, hours ago, is still there. Obviously it's auto-saved on the server somewhere.

Yep, drafts are saved server-side. They are saved for a maximum of 24 hours, after which they are erased, and it auto-saves every 60 seconds while typing.
