Are you sure it's not the same patches being repeated. Microsoft has had an issue with this recently. There is not much, if any, difference in the number of patches for 64 vs. 32bit operating systems of the same version. Patches released typically cover most versions of Windows currently being supported.
Wow, that's so INTERESTING! I looked at my patch history (this system has only been up for like a week), and no, I think no repeating patches.
But what you posted, made me remember I havent been on my desktop running 32 for days......so I should get on it and see if I then get a bazillion new patches! Cept, hard to imagine I will.
I should not go there, cause a while back, I decided not to go Apple, only cause I like to fiddle with/upgrade, customize my systems, and nobody can fiddle with Apple anything (tho some would say there is no need to)....
....but reminds me yet again, all the infinite patches leading to infinite SPs.....nobody who goes Apple deals with that stuff we who run Windows have come to feel is just normal.
EDIT: Here is the one I just got (din require a reboot, and it said "important"):
Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 for x64-based Systems (KB973688)
Installation date: ‎9/‎18/‎2013 8:17 PM
Did everyone here running 64 get that one just now????? I see the notification in my systray and just accept everything, I have not clue what any of it is.
